In a pinch, need a 60/62 tailgate (temporarily) (1 Viewer)

The sheet metal underneath the "4WD" emblem on my 62's tailgate is rusted nearly all the way through, so I'm going to have to strip it and weld in a patch. Problem is my 62 is my daily and my only vehicle, and I can't afford enough time off from work to be without a vehicle while I pull it and do the repair. It's a long shot, but I figured worth asking if anyone has a currently-not-being-used I could install while I repair my own.

Reach out to user offroadin4fun . He has a parts FJ62 sitting under a tarp in Rathdrum. He might have what you need. Last time I spoke with him he wasn't looking to sell stuff off of it, but he may be willing to let you borrow the tailgate. Doesn't hurt to ask I guess.
