I had the chance to wheel with the FJ Trail Team this morning. I drove the Silver one up 5 and across 4. My sister (K9Crazy on here) was also there as we trail tested her FJC on 5 as well yesterday.

These trucks are the real deal. I was very impressed and agree with my sister's comment that these are very "technical" trucks. You have to choose the right line, no skinny pedal or "bumping it" is in order. They drive over what you point them at. You drop in on the IFS with brakes on, and you enjoy the ride.

I was very impressed with the ease of driving and the ATRAC was extremely nice after the monsoon that hit this morning. The trial drained well due to the new rocks that were put in (french drained the whole trail!). ATRAC still was too neat a tool to not use regularly.

I will be getting one when I am able.

Thanks for the seat Woody (even though you won't be home until tomorrow to read this). I believe my sister can post up the pics as it was her camera.

Love the FJC. It has the same wheelbase as a 55 and wheels like it!

I drove one at SE4RJ3 (week before GSMTR) down trail 8 from the top of slickrock all the way to 4 and beyond and I was very impressed...I was expecting to need a pull or tow in several spots or rip something off the underbelly...but never a problem.

I wouldn't buy one for myself, just not practical for where I am now in life, but they are an impressive OEM wheeling vehicle. Reminded me very much of my 3rd gen 4Runner.

A few pics are up...

Yeah...HE drove it up 5 and across 4. I'll note that WE drove it! Dan and I switched on and off. But I will also echo the thanks to Woody for the seat!

I have some pics up of my truck on 5 here:

I'll work on more soon...and I have some video if I can figure it out.

I drove it up the "hard" parts :flipoff2:

Ditto on the seat for Woody! Thanks man!

We had a blast with you guys this weekend. Tellico was awesome in the rain on Sat. We are off to Paragon next maybe we will see some of you guys there.

We wheeled with the Trail Crew on Monday and got to drive the FJs. I was impressed when I drove it and I was even more impressed when one FJ went up Slick Rock.

Pics of the SlickRock ride on Wed are in the Gallery...

I opted not to drive one at GSMTR....I was committed to roll my FJ40 this week (and didn't) and I think the team's woulda frowned on me floppin a FJC ;)

Great to meet you Tim ....and Robbie and the rest of the Central team...lookin forward to runnin with you a few more times this year!

Woddy you had your chance to drive but you were afraid. Just admit it.

We have a ton of pics, they should be up today on the fjcruiser website

toyota.com/fjcuiser. Great pics so far in the gallery Woddy. Thanks for all of the hard work.

Tim
