importing a BJ40

Hey,

I am living in the Dominican Republic and thinking of moving stateside. I am thinking about bringing the BJ40 with me. It is a 1978 in pretty decent condition. Have any of you shipped one in that you could give me a ballpark idea of what it might cost?

Ben, you're probably looking at $1,200 to $2,000 depending on which East Coast port you decide to ship to, in a 20' ocean-going container. RORO might be cheaper, but there will be less options and I don't know if you can ship RORO out of the Dominican.

Its the port fees and taxes that get you. At least as much if not more than the shipping. Shipping should be around 1300 or so.

I'm working on one from Colombia currently.
