Hi All,
After owning a 100 series TD for 7 years with only regular maintenance and never a fault over 200,000 km I took the plunge and updated with a new 200 TD. On the maiden voyage with 5000km on the clock I hooked up the camper trailer, 2 young kids and wife and set off for a camping weekend. 50km into the trip after a stop in a little town the engine light and slip limit light came on and the 4LO light was flashing. Rang Dealer they said do not drive it and it needed to be towed back to them - to which they organised a flat bed tow to pick us up. Two days at the dealer the initial view was a damaged ECU, In the end I am told the cause was a blown fuse (reverse light) it has been replaced and all is good to go.
Has anybody else had this experience that their vehicle is immobilised from a fuse blowing?? Surely fuses there to protect and not to cause secondary warning?
