Like Tony and John said personalize it. You can start by firing up a fattie with the windows rolled up. Then drop trow and leave bacon strips on that fine leather. Heck your wife mind not mind getting the bang of a lifetime with her feet dangling out the sun roof.

Nevermind, AJ already did that.

I miss all 3 of my mini's, there was just something about them that i loved. The simplicity, and the cozyness. I cant speak for second or third gens, but my 80's 22r/re powered rigs were great. I LOVED my '85 4runner, but I will admit that i am having a blast with the FZJ-80. I dont know if it is actually the 80 that I love, or just that I am back driving my rig everywhere. That was what I had missed the most. Would I give the 80 up for another 4-runner, no way. If something happened to the 80 though, I would be hard pressed not to go back.

That's what I was trying to get across and you summed it it up perfect, may I say that you use your mouth prettier than a $20.00 whore?

I must chime in on this as well

I may also end up on the couch one day ( spooning with John would be nice) ( but I digress)

I was so glad to get back to a mini...I always had Minis (5 to be exact) & loved them all, wanted a Landcruiser & was glad I had it.
But when I got back in the Mini........I was "home" again....I absolutely LOVE my new 4runner (gotta get the tranny fixed)

4runners,.....yeah,....you can say "I'm a fan"

How's the LC love working out Darrell?

Looks like we lost another one to the 80 crowd

Was that you I saw climbing snow mounds in the wal-mart parking lot the other day?

I know it's sad El Conquistador but it must be fate for Da'real. He was prolly born an 80 guy but never really knew it till now.
May the old Da'real RIP.

Hey... I've been driving my new '86 4runner everyday for months while my 80 sits in the garage with unfinished projects going on.

Just don't drive it like AJ

I could be wrong, but I believe the quote is "drive like it was AJs" and comes from when Spaceghost borrowed AJs 40 for the first HH.

Driving it like AJ implies that you show up, pose in the quarry, then go home.

Driving like it was AJs leads to damage. Damage leads to sadness. Sadness leads to tequila. Tequila leads to the Dark Side.

How I remember it, that is.

Actually driving it like it's AJ came from the one trip to GSMTR (2007?)where most of us made it. Spaceghost was without a rig so he borrowed AJ's for the day while AJ sat back in camp playing with his string. It was at the midpoint of Lower 2 where it starts to get really gnarly that Spaceghost realized that he wasn't in a buggy and flopped the truck on the passenger side. There really was minimal damage and there was a lot of debate on when to tell AJ just to see how long it would take for him to notice. Sometime around the campfire that night the cellphone pictures came out and lots of laughs were had by all.

Yea thats the way it happened, I was doing the spotting when he flopped so its kind of burned into the brain. The rest of the story is, he also broke the steering(tie rod I think) about 300' up the trail. We went looking for a welder, first truck we asked had one, fixed it and drove it the rest of the week. Ahh the good old days when AJ had a rig to dri...well loan out.

Darrell, I don't suppose you still have your rear bumper that John made you do you?

NO, no he didnt!!

He decided, instead, to simply let it go to the junk yard. Its prolly on the back of some Mexican's Ford Ranger.
