So my old bushings wore out in the back and I had all sorts of poping sounds when I turned. I put new bushings in and temporarily put the old shackles back in. The were rusty and needed to be replaced.

Being a cheap bastard I bought these anti inversion extended shackles that were only 70 for a set. I just got them. The side plates are 1/4" when they were supposed to be 3/8". The holes for the bolts are oversized by about 1/8" and the anti-inversion pin does not have a shoulder cut on it. I guess I got what I paid for...and deserved.

Are any of these serious issues? Especially the oversized hole?

Are you asking whether there can be serious issues by putting a undersized POS part that does not fit exactly into the position that holds a lot of the weight and plays a significant role in tracking?
The answer is yes.

Touché .... Incidentally, where did you buy offending parts? . . .

JT outfitters.

I don't know if they are undersized. OEM is not even 1/4". The plate thickness does not bother me. It is more than enough.

The hole size bothers me. Has anyone else used a shackle with an oversized hole and what are the consequences? Seems like I could get a lot more undesirable side to side movement.
