Oh yeah, one more question--was it decided the XC jerseys would be full zip? I am hoping they will be.

Update - Calling all interested MUD Vendors

Ok, back to work on this project:

Here's a rough comp of the DH style jersey.

4582302798_ef68011c21_o.jpg

As you can see, the jersey is in pieces. Once I get the participating sponsors pinned down, I'll send this template back to the printer and share final comps before submitting the order.

Since many of the folks who have signed up on the interest list have indicated that they aren't going to race and just want something cool to ride or wheel in, I thought it would be cool to open this project up to any and all MUD vendors who want to get involved. Involvement could be anything from cash sponsorship to the racers, offering discounted products or services, or even just buying a batch of jerseys to sell & promote your own business.

If that's you - or your company - please drop me a line through email - matthew [dot] mangus [at] mangai-rollin.com

Cheers,
.matthew

doh! The jersey's a red X to me.

I might be interested in both an XC and a downhill jersey.

Question...
Would the X-country jersey be fitted enough to use as a roadie jersey ??
I think Im interested on a DH jersey too..
Damn !!

So is this a, "for profit" venture, or just something a mud guy is doing for the group? I was under the impression that this was being organazied as a sort of a group buy type of thing, but even with $15 going to charity, a $75 price tag leaves a a huge profit marin on the table.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against someone making a buck, I just want to know that is what it is, before I pay money down, thinking it is all for charity, if it isn't.
Thanks,
Abe

Hey there,
I just read my above post & it sounds, 'accusatory", which wasn't my goal. So let me try it a different tack, if there is a profit margin included in the pricing, cool no big deal, & I totally understand that your time is worth something. But if the best quotes you are getting are in the $55-60/pc from the factory, then hit me up on PM before you place an order. I think I can help you lower the costs quite a bit.
Best,
Abe

Gr8ful,

I'm all ears. I'd love to see the the price drop while maintaining quality. We were going to use Champ-Sys but too many people complained about fabric quality. Shoot me an email at matthew (dot) mangus (at) mangai-rollin.com

I imagine there might eventually be a small profit if these get popular enough to allow large orders (which lowers prices) and if they get picked up by a couple of shops or online outfits, but profit's not the motive here.

Our motives are simply:
1. Doing something cool that others will appreciate - both in creating the race team and jerseys.
2. Funneling funds towards a good cause(s).
3. Garnering brand exposure for our clients (and in this particular case any Mud vendor who wants to participate) while providing discounts to normally un-sponsored riders who could use a break.

Psyched regardless, I ride a lot but usually don't wear a jersey and don't want something super tight personally, so maybe a few options... But I would totally sport it. I agree $75 is a little steep and might hurt sales IMHO... $40-50 I think is maybe better but I don't know what these things cost, honestly...

I'm in for a jersey. I no longer race worth a damn, but I sure have a good time. I mostly adv race now. I have a fj40 on the way right now, and I plan on driving it to any events in my region.

I might be down for one depending on cost. Will be racing Cat 1 mountain this summer.

i dont do mtb mutchn ow but will im doing tri and rodie , im down for one of the tight ones lol and dont care the price , i have payed more for jerseys

I haven't raced for years. But I am going to start ultra endurance racing again. Priority one on my jersies is moisture management. Secondary is temprature then what is on it. If I have the $ when this happens I may be in for one.

sorry that this hit the back burner guys.
I'll get back to it this fall so we have some jerseys for the '11 racing and wheeling season.

I want one...... Let me know....

thanks for the update. still very interested...
