Almost done with the underdash switch panel. Connected a volt meter in the center that comes on when I switch on the 2nd battery. Total of 57 terminals that were wired which included the 20 for the center console switches for the roof rack LEDs. My hands have seen better days.

that is classy. Still not used to seeing a center console without faux wood on it :o

Yesterday got the hand throttle installed as well as the rest of the rocker switches in the center console. Well worth the effort, it looks awesome and easy to spot at night.

Finally finished up the tail gate storage. I ordered just the blank frame and lid from @socallove and added a couple small things like combination cam locks and struts to keep the lid open. Once I scratch the hell out of it, I plan on powder coating it black or gray to match the interior.

I also mounted the back up camera and routed the wire through the tail gate. I am adding another camera for the front as well, but just haven't figured out where I will mount it up yet. Mounted a Blue Sea Dual USB plug in the back along with a volt gauge to monitor the 2nd battery. One switch kicks on the USB charger and shows the voltage. The other switch turns on the overhead LED lights I mounted inside the old speaker grilles.

Drilled another hole in the corner lenses next to the headlight for the turn signal bulbs since the AOE front bumper covers the turn signal lens. Also removed the trims and primed them up to get coated black.

Hey Greg, with my work schedule, it's hard for me to tackle anything when I want. The truck just sits there most of the time and as soon as I have any free time I get on it. Work comes first, unfortunately, but if you have any questions, let me know, glad to help. You can also swing by our shop if you are local and we can see what you got.
Thank you,
John

Hello John! I will definitely swing by your place very soon. Thanks for the response.

It was a little slow at the shop today so I got a lot done on the 80. Wired up the Warn and mounted the box under the passenger side bumper wing. Installed a 14" Aux fan. Swapped the stock horns for some Hellas. Finished painting all the trim around the headlights and grille. Also installed the mesh I cut out to insert into the grille. Put in some Xetronix 6000K HID Kit for the low beams and 3000k Yellow Nokya bulbs for the high beams. Sanded, primed, and painted the sliders to match the front & rear bumpers. Done for today.

supertones are for posers :p

More like for the hearing impaired prius drivers. Plus I have 4 sets sitting on the shelf.

Now that you've got the mesh grille, you could finish it off with a 40 or 60 series "TOYOTA" That's what all the kids are doing these days.

Don't you have a turbo to spool or something:p:flipoff2:

Just did my first oil change with filter on this truck since I aquired it 5 months ago. I have only put on 200 miles since then. I also filled up the 38 gallon tank for the first time as well. The pump stopped at $85.00 so I had to use another card and keep on pumping to top off. Coolest thing was driving almost 50 miles and the needle barely moved. However it's still averaging 10-12mpg in the city. I used Lubromoly / Liquimoly Synthetic Oil 5-40 which I use on most of my cars. Since I have never had a scan gauge before I wanted to ask people if 215 degrees is high for stop and go driving with AC on and 98 degrees out? On my other 80 with turbo I only got up close to this when I was flying up the grapevine with AC on high and 105f outside. I think I may have to flush the coolant and refill with new Red fluids and see if anything changes. Also turning on the newly installed aux Fan only dropped it down to 211f.

After some sanding, clay, and polish, most of the trail rash is gone. Now I just have to take some time off to do some wheeling and put some of my own rash on it. Here's some before and after photos.
