Hello all,

Has anyone ever had their ignition completely removed from the steering column? any ideas on how to get it back in....I have to currently use a screwdriver to turn it on. I let my old man drive it and he did not push the release button before pulling out the key and the whole dang ingnition came out along with the key.

I think this will help. A pic might be better but it sounds like the lock cyl was removed. Turn the key to the acc position and make sure the little button on the bottom can be pushed in then re insert the lock cyl.

Take the plastic surround off the steering column. Like cruiserfj45 says, with the key in the accessory position, there is a little button or lever that can be pushed to remove the lock cylinder. you should be able to put in back in the same way and have it "click" into place.

The problem is that the key is stuck in the lock position, I can't turn it to acc, or any other position. If I could get it to turn then I would be goog to go, any tricks to unlocking it?
