Thought I would share this as I start to rebuild my FJ . It has worked great as it is with the set up I have but I have reached the limits of its capabilities. So it’s on the the next phase . I am working with Rock Solid Toys and G3 Offroad . The build will consist of RST , Radflo , G3 and Currie . The plan for now anyways is to keep it on 37s But 38 MT pros for trails . We will also be adding the RST 3 link rear along with Radflo coilovers . Here are a few sneak peek pics

Cool build. Personally I'd go 60-9 front end vs a Dana 60. But this is awesome!

Still waiting on parts I do not want to cut into anything until i have EVERYTHING . Also a little fun fact Currie dropped the FJ 60 rear . They no longer have any Toyota products . For me its ok since i am going to a 3 link rear with coil overs . But the bolt in 60 is no more Bummer

It'll be nice to see pics of the finished project.

Is the 9inch a viable rear choice?

On my old 4 runner i had Currie built 9 inch axles. and never had a problem . i ran 35s 36s 38.5s and 40s on that set up and it held up to anything i threw at it . Front range offroad makes the. Diamond axle that you can use a 9 inch in and its a good option . For me i want a matching front and rear or as close to matching as can be .

Thanks for the answer.

So I have had a little change of plans . (To much time to think while waiting for parts ) I have decided to Keep the FJ as Toyota as I can . So after much thought . I am having Diamond axle Housing made . Will be running 9.5 FJ40/60 diffs RCV axle shafts. Full ARP studs. I think this is going to work just perfect for my FJ. 9.5 vs 8

I like your thread and thinking.
Good luck with Diamond, my experience was terrible with them. They kept promising delivery and axle being built and finally had to contact the owner and it still took WAY to long.
