Hello all,

I am in the mood to build a off trailer of sorts but because of where i am living (navy base housing) i really cant keep one here. I could store it but again i really dont have a need for it yet.

So the question is if i build a trailer is there any intrest in someone buying it. I am not looking at making a living doing this or anything, just always wanted to build one.

i am located in ventura CA.
again just tossing around some ideas as i sit here. Any thoughts?

Sure, what kind of trailer are you thinking of? I have an XJ and have been contemplating finding someone to build one.

just the typical off road trailer. taking ideas and see what happens. open to suggestions u seee

I would like something of a similar design to the M416, with a longer tongue that I can jacknife without hitting the truck, before the triangle tie-in. I would like a front plate to mount a box. I also need to carry 4 fuel cans on the perimeter (a mount in front and behind the axle on each side??). A lid on hydraulic struts (no tailgate). A raised roof rack type setup where I can put a canoe or a couple of kayaks. The lid should be a deck with a 6" raised pipe perimeter to tie more crap on if needed. A spare tire needs to ride somewhere also...maybe a fixed mount from the back bumper?

3,500 lb axle with brake and 5x4.5 hubs for the Jeep wheels.

Simple enough? LOL

actually that is the basic design i was thinking of.
like i said i am just bored and think i would like to try this once and see how it works out, but it is a challenge no matter how you do it for sure,
