I used some of these (HF version) to load a 2F into the back of my 60. Put them under some ply wood and loaded the motor onto the plywood and was able to slide it into the back. It worked surprisingly well.

Did you go driving with a 2F in the back? Scary as can be... no way to strap it for an accident. no anchor points can hold that weight in a 60.
Time to get a little trailer! I loved my little M101 CND trailer for hauling just this kind of thing. It made my cruiser like a little truck.
Yeah it looked like clearing the hoist top bar into the top inner edge of the cargo must have been darn awkward.I blocked it in place with wood and used tiedowns looped around the tailgate hinges and run to the seat legs anchors. It really felt like it wasn’t going anywhere.
Next DD will be a Tacoma or Tundra. I’m tired of transporting parts in the back of cars.

Yeah I was thinking about moving dollies, but made things more difficult as usual.....trying to come up with some silly way to put jack stands on them and wheel it that way. Was over thinking it. Your way as usual is much more sensible @OSS and @NeverGiveUpYota. Had in my head the axle needed to end up higher to make it easier to work on so got blocked on getting it on jack stands. But the moving dollies would prolly get this done easily and I can just lift it back onto stands once moved. My real issue here is my limited space. If I were outside somewhere with plenty of room around me it would be much easier. I may just try and clean it up under the truck. I wanted to replace the third member seal which would also be easier out of the truck IMHO. Its not leaking currently but though with the knuckle work it would be a good opportunity to replace it. Just the weight of that thing may make me chicken out on that. Taking rest of night to ponder. Thanks as always for the responses.
Truck or trailer for the next time for sure.
We couldn’t clear it. So we put the hoist as close to the rear lift hatch and pushed the botttom of the oil pan onto the tailgate while slowly letting the weight off the hoist. The suspension sag wasn’t something we accounted for and the hoist started hitting the lift gate. At that point we unloaded the lift while pushing the block into the back.
There are far better ways to do things in life and this was eye opening as to future truck/trailer needs.
So deviating a bit from original topic here, but I got the rear springs off today. I gotta tell you I think I am the luckiest 60 series owner ever. I'll prolly take a beating saying this, but all the trouble bits on these trucks seem to always be a non-issue on my truck. Both of the rear fixed spring pins came right out with like 5 blows from a sledge. Heard all sorts of stories about getting these out......use heat and torches and on and on. And mine come out with 5 good knocks. I'll take it.
Seems I am missing the center bolt spacers for the rear springs, so sort of stuck for now. But just thrilled this is coming along so easily. I was dreading wrestling with these fixed pins and only one of mine was a problem. So stoked. Thanks all.
Cityracer and Trailtailor typically have these in stock and are quick to ship for the OEM spring pads.
For the ARB center bolt spacer i’d call cruiseroutfitters.

Yeah I actually ordered this kit from cruiser outfitters. The spacers were on the invoice but I cannot find them in the box anywhere. Maybe I threw them out with packing or something. Not sure. Called them and getting some sent out Monday. Slight delay but have plenty still to do so it won't slow me down any. Anyone happen to know the ID and OD I would need to find something local I could use for this.....or know of some easy subs I could source in place of them?
Mine from CO were black...
