Saw this on a Colombian Cruiser.. Just got back from colombia and I wish I had half the stuff this 80 had. It had dual A/C, lockers, 5speed, and a center console fridge..

Notice the rear hitch receiver.. Seems alot better than what we use here. Is it just as strong is the question??? I have some friends in Colombia that deal with LANDCRUISER parts, Any ideas on what you guys may want here as maybe I can look into getting prices..

Light duty only. And a knee-wrecker  .

send this guy a PM, pvcruiser.

I did some work for a colombian cement importer recently. he mentioned that parts/whole trucks would need to be shipped from venezuela due to problems of shipping goods from colombia to the USA. Have you had any problems shipping into the US?

beaufort - I havent shipped anything as off yet, I just wanted to see about getting a feeler on any interest. Thanks for the heads up. I know that colombia just recently struck a free trade deal with the USA but I dont know when it will come into affect.

this guy told me that local/Colombian contacts are the key. If you have buddies in there you are golden. I'll take a troopie if they find one.

That thing sticks out way too far. Serious lever arm with no tie in back to the frame.

Here is a much stronger option that can be left on for offroad use from Slee. And yes, I have it bolted on :D

Thread hijack - it looks like the Columbians also got the crappy OEM roof racks (RE: Rust magnets) that we have on our US-spec'd 80.

got any pics of the front fridge?
I get thirsty on my hour drive to work.

hook me up one of them!

Nah I couldnt take any pics inside it was locked and the windows are tinted... Plus I didnt want anyone to think that I was looking inside to rob it or something..LOL.. you never know.

You are right .. in colombia, be smart and take care keep you safe .. :D

Fawk those tail lights!

Nay's got the solution on the hitch.

Bear,

I'd say that your picture has a really cool angle and elements that would make it ideal for the rolling pictures on the Mud home page to represent the 80. Except that those taillights make it look like a last generation 4Runner in the last year when they put those taillights on it.........

Bear, nice pic. . . . i just don't dig the clear lenses. Personal preference i guess.

I like the clear/red lens. I always thought that the LC looked weird with the amber in the back.

I guess Toyota had the same thoughts too as the Lexus LX470 has clear rears. Even the new LC did away with the rear ambers.

Well my photo chop skills aren't great but to make you guys feel better....

I admit I still have mixed feelings about the tail lights but the biggest thing is that they look contemporary. The single thing that dates a car is the use of the orange sigals and solid orange front markers. It just feels nice when people ask me if my LC is a new model.
