I've had a few different suspension setups on my rig since I got her :o. I think I got carried away, but now I'm done:

I've only driven it back from the shop, but wow! Feels great!:bounce::bounce::bounce:

looking forward to hearing your experience with these. also, what all have you already tried?

I've had Stock, Radflos and OMEs in that order...these are by far the nicest valved shocks yet. The springs are good too...even with the ARB bumper it doesn't dive that much, but yet feels plush.

Once I have more time with them I can comment. Also, I may be able to post some pics as the vehicle is now perfectly leveled out. Just put new old wheels on so it's looking good, and running light and mean!!!

Hey nice set up...Im also interested to hear your feedback.

Also wanted to know what prompted you to change from OME to Icon? What were the pros and cons you weighed up before making the switch?

Im currently running the 2" OME lift, (with a right side lean due to KDSS that I cannot for the life of me solve), so was hoping maybe the Icon can solve that lean?

I was just going to order an OME suspension, but now I'm going to hold off until I hear how you like the Icon. ♦

For pure ride quality, so far the Icons are nicer than the OME, who knows about long term though.

The ride is less jarring but just as stiff, if not stiffer. The coilovers do a great job of giving you road feel, but there is no harshnes that I have noticed with OMEs in the past.

The other great thing is I was able to adjust the height of the Icons, I always had a front dip, just the slightest, but now it's gone. I have yet to check the side to side lean, if any, as I did also have a touch of lean prior to the install.

The front feels so great, that I may look into upgrading the shocks in the rear, something that is valved similarly to the front, perhaps Icon could suggest something they have, but I haven't asked yet.

I would definitely recommend this front set-up over the OMEs, they are pricier, but if you can hack that, go with this. The beauty to some is that you could throw these on first, do a front bumper or not, do rear shocks or not, and they will be adjustable to all scenarios. Just putting these on, and not doing wheels, tires, bumpers, sliders, or rear suspension is probably where I would have started modding this rig in the firstplace, had I known.

Icon should be selling rear coil overs by the end of this month or next as reported my local landcruiser shop. I have been holding out for them, so I can get the whole pkg. done at once.

hey Chimyz...do the coil overs come rated for heavy duty to accomodate the front bumper and winch? similar to the OME 220lbs front springs?

Also, did you gain/lose and lift with the Icons?

Great questions...I was worried about the same things when I was purchasing.

Icon had advised me that they are rated to run with the ARB front bumper (I wasn't sure if they use a spring rated for the bumper on all, or if you need to specify it). When I installed them, there was minimal droop, which was adjusted promptly with the spanner wrench you need to get from them.

I went as far as adjusting it a little further, and now my truck sits level...which it never did with the OME springs. So to answer the second question, you gain lift with the Icons (or you could loose it if you want to reduce the height). It is great having the option of being able to adjust them and the ride height.

In fact, I'm hoping I could adjust it enought to fit a 34" tire or larger under there. There would be some trimming of the mud flap, but that is nothing.

Thanks Chimyz for all the info. I've got one more question. How hard is it to adjust the height? I've seen the special spanner that Icon sells on their web site for $26. Do you just jack up the front and adjust or is there more to it?♦

That's it, jack her up, take the wheel off, and adjust. You need thier tool though. The only other alternative would be to make one.

You'll be done when you get a set Ohlins from Jowett! :D

I will wait until the Ohlins have been tested on the 200 before buying. I do t want my warranty to go out the window. Don't get me wrong, they look freaking awesome and would love to have a set. Front/rear. Would I get the same lift as the Icons? What are the advantages over the Icons?

Looks good.....so obviously you recommend over the OME fronts?

Simple answer...yes.
The OMEs are a great product, I don't want to discredit them, but the Icons are just in another league.

I called Icon Vehicle Dynamics today to ask them about their rear suspension. They said it is still not ready yet. When it is ready it will be 2.5" shocks only. They have no plans for rear springs.

Thanks for following up on someone's comments earlier. I was wondering what they were going to do.

I would be interested in the 2.5" with heavy OME springs (which I have sitting in the garage waiting). That would eliminate some movement upon acceleration and give the same great feel the front does.

The 2.5" offering they will have is probably similar to the Tundra shocks you can get, just valved a little stiffer...probably more preload and a touch more rebound.
