I read this weekend about a self contained handheld scanner that will read the AHC pressures and etc.

I wanted to see if anyone has ever used an iCarsoft? If so do you know which one that I should buy?

P.S. I don't mind paying extra for one that does multiple cars from different manufactures.

I have the iCarsoft TYT II. It has come in handy quite a few times already and can confirm it can give you AHC readouts.

I wonder if the iCarsoft CR pro can read the AHC pressures and etc. like the TYT II?

Between my kids, GF and etc. I have about 5 different car manufactures stuff, so a scanner to do multiple cars would be nice, if I didn't lose any features?

I have the TYT II, and it's great. From what I understand, the TYT II can read/reset codes on cars other than Toyota and Lexus. You just obviously won't have the additional Toyota features.

iCarsoft response to my email:

You can try the iCarsoft CR V2.0(1+4) or CR Pro.

But the CR V2.0 support up to 5 brands and the CR Pro support 44 brands.

CR Pro can do all the TYT II's functions.

So if I am understanding correctly, the CR Pro is a better value if you have multiple vehicles?

Can the Icarsoft TYT II also make changes to the vehicle manufacturer settings? Reset adaptations? Like restore them. I gave up on tech stream. I followed the post on here got instructions from the Ebay seller then bought a new lap top. Done with it. I will definitely grab one of these

Does the Icarsoft TYT II have a function to disable daytime running lights on a 2007 LX? I was about to purchase tech stream.

Just the screenshots I've seen of iCarsoft indicate the it lacks the details that TechStream provides.

I don't have any issues with TechStream, but I've been using it for ~10 years.

I'm curious about this as well. Techstream seems awesome when it works right. However, from what I've read, it seems like getting it to work is about 1/3 computer knowledge, 1/3 black magic and 1/3 luck. I'm would also have to acquire a laptop to run Techstream. iCarsoft seems like the better fit for me if the capabilities are similar.

Try this one, the instructions are easy to follow, and if you have issues he will remote into your pc and make sure it works. I didn't need that since instructions were easy to follow, i used it on my windows10 64 bit pc. This was recommended on the tech stream in 5 minutes thread where i found the link.

I too am having a hell of a time getting TechStream to work on my old laptop. I just need the program to adjust AHC pressures. Everytime I try to get the data list the program crashes. I looked at getting one of the iCarsoft devices. Their description on Amazon cautioned you to discuss compatibility with their service folks if your vehicle is older than 2005. I e-mailed back and forth with iCarsoft's service manager last night. Their devices will not work with my '98 LX470. Too old. Just thought I'd post this here in case anyone else is in the same boat.

^^^^

I know this is an older post, but I have a '99 LX470 and iCarsoft TYT works just fine on it. So should also work on your 98.

Getting info from the Service Manager is extremely hit and miss. Sometimes he will reply...other times not. Sometimes very helpful, other times very dismissive. Bi-Polar.....I don't know? Best to just play with the unit yourself and learn what it will do.

I will also add this for anyone searching in the future. The icarsoft CR Plus does not have the ability to read AHC pressures. I had to send it back and I purchased the CR Pro, which will read pressures like the TYT.

Can the iCarSoft reprogram anything and to what extent? I need to reprogram a key on one of my Toyota vehicles.
TIA

It will not reprogram a key (or at least mine won't). IcarSoft TYT II

I just purchased the CR Pro version. I will report back in a couple of weeks when I receive it.
I know this is an older thread, but I'm about to pull the trigger on a CR Pro and I was wondering how it worked out for you? Specifically with regard to reading AHC pressures.

Thanks in advance
