I want to add a long leaf from a set of 40 series rancho 2.5" lift springs to a stock

60 series rear spring pack for my rear springs on my 40 spring over. This should give me a little bit more lift, since the 60 springs are pretty flat. The leaf from the rancho pack is ~36" long, which is in between the lengths of two of the 60 spring leaves.

Can anybody see a drawback to this, or a reason that I shouldn't try it?

Shouldn't be an issue. The add-a-leafs that MAF sells Should also fit.

I think the limiting factor to adding leaves would be the length of u-bolt and leaf pack pin.

I would do that if I had a set of lift main springs. I bought a set of the Man-a-Fre add a leafs when when I first did my SOA - had to cut to fit the 40 spring pack and ultimately found them too stiff. Should have left them in and let em get worked in.
