I test drove the 6spd today in the mud (pics)

Hey everyone,
Today I took my second test drive in the FJ Cruiser. I drove a 6 spd today, I put on about 20 miles, when I got in it, it had 2 miles on it. I must say that I was very impressed with the truck. I had it up to about 90MPH on the highway, and it was smooth and almost silent. I also liked the "high" seating position. I also took it into some mud and it did just fine. I didn't get the a-trac to engage but, the mud was deep. I like the 6spd much better than the auto.

I must also say that the sales man was excellent. He told me that he knows little about the Fj, and he was very thankful that I taught him a lot about it. He didn't even know what the clutch interlock did, but again he was happy to learn.

Yup, 2 miles when I got in it. I was shooting waves of water in all directions! Again nice truck, I might even pony up the cash to get one. But they are still selling at the sticker, so I might want to wait.

From what I've heard, dealers here are really tight about test drives. Some even ask for a $500 deposit!

lol I knew you'd read that post!

Yeah, the dealer let me wheel the demo a bit too... but muddin' I am sure would have been out of the question!

It allows you to start the vehicle without having your foot on the clutch. It's a handy feature if you're in a situation that requires you to quickly get into gear and go (say stopped upward on a steep hill). If you're good with a clutch, you may not need it.
