Hey guys since the crawl is right around the corner, i need to know if any of yall know of a 3f engine for sale cause i need one. I'm planning on going fuel injection and i need a head, intake, dizzy, computer etc. So if any of you know of one for sale or have one, please post up as i want to purchase. Thanks.

If you really want to go with a 3FE you should find an entire running FJ62. That way you'll have all the important parts for the swap. You'll also have parts that can be sold to help recoup the cost of the swap.

Im on a budget of under 1k

You might be able to do with a budget of under 2k. You might get lucky and find 3F that can be rebuilt for under 1k. A running one will be more and you will want to rebuild it too. You will spend another 1k (if not more) on the rebuild and conversion.

Godwin's approach sounds the best to me.

What's wrong with your 2F?

i think you'll need to at least double your budget for something that runs and is in good shape. if anyone has one in good shape it's graham's around birmingham. they are expensive but they don't sell junk either. their number is 205-668-3441

Peek's salvage yard has or had a wrecked FJ62. Last time I could see it through the fence it looks like the suspension and axles are gone. It may have the engine still in it. I looked at the truck a long time ago and the engine looked complete, can't say what's there now.

Peek's in Cullman, AL. IF they have the part is may be too $$$.

thanks guys but im going the chevy tbi route, i'll do a right up on here in the next 2 weeks, trying to get it ready before the crawl

You better get working...

TBI 350 is a great setup. I wish I had went that route over the vortec. A lot simpler and a lot less $$. Very dependable setup and normally easy to fix.
