I'm just a dumbarse tonight. Where are the specs on the 80 series? Looking to compare 91-92 to 94-95 and 96-97. To be more specific looking for info on drive trains. I know I found info on all Cruisers somewhere just can't seem to remember where.

thanks

Try Slee's "Newbie Guide". He's got alot of info. about the differences between models in there.

jroc,

There is some information for the 1997 on my home page.

Raventai has the NCF (New Car Features) manual and that's the MacDaddy of specs. You would need several versions, one for each year.

Is there some specific information you're looking for? If so, spout it out so I can yell at you to go search. :D

Na nothing specific just want to see what changes may have been made between the first 80's and the later years. Just doing a little research. I had found a page one time that had this info listed just can't remember where. Thanks for the help.

alright guess I'll have to ask.........are the 91-92 equipt with 4:11 gears like the later models?

The factory ratio for all 80 series vehicles sold new in the US is 4.10 to 1. Toyota adjusted for the larger tires in 93 by supplying a larger engine to power them.

alright, I read Slees newbie guide wrong, I thought it stated 4.11 was thinking along the lines of "what gears are you running?........Oh I got 4.10's" 4.11 seemed strange but I have done zero to the LC as far as using it as a grocery getter so gear ratio's in it I had no idea. Now I do.

Why I ask is I have a friend with a 91 absolute dog and he asked if I knew what gears where in it. Sounds like he rode a bad bearing to the point of no return. Looks like ring and pinion might be toast.

Cdan you have a pm..........
