I have seen it asked, but not answered. Can you put 16" or 17" wheels on a 2006 LC

I have searched and read way to much info on what tire size fits a 2006 100. I have heard that a 16" wheel will not fit a 2006 but can not find any evidence. Some noted that the rotters are the same size? I live up in North West Colorado and am running 285-65-18 BFG AT's. They are only about 65 % worn but the traction on snow and ice is not half as good as last year when they were only 25% worn (they where great then!). I would like to get some steel wheels with some snow tires for the winter. Anyone running steel wheels on their 2006+ cruiser? Tires are much cheaper for the 16 " size but not sure if they will fit. Any advise is appreciated. (and I am pretty sure I can go an inch higher and wider with no issue.....)

It wouldn't be the rotor that's a problem. Part number 43512-60171 fits 1998-2007.

I would wager a case of beer that the 16" or 17"wheel fits on a 2006

Yes a 16 or 17" will fit just fine. You may be confusing it with fitting 16" wheels from a 4Runner or 80 series on a LC (and vice versa), which due to the 6 lug pattern will not work.

The OEM 16", 17", and 18" wheels available for the 100 Series are all interchangeable throughout the Hundy generation years.

Does this mean I won't be receiving any beer?
