...WIFE!!! She learned to drive a standard for the first time in her life and now she loves it. But what she fell in love with was my TRUCK!!! Now no more of me driving and her in the passenger seat...now i am the one in the passenger seat. I don't know whether to laugh with excitement or cry cause i just lost my truck.

Lord only knows what she will turn into when i take her wheeling!!!!

Regardless...its been a good day.

My wife bought my 60 years ago for a birthday gift. She drives, and actually prefers a manual over an automatic any day of the week. Her first car was an 80's Honda Civic, which was a manual. That's cool that she's into the cruiser. Hope she likes wheelin like my wife. Your a lucky man.

I'm a little concerned about the same thing. I'm teachin my little lady stick in my cruiser. She can handle 4wheel low... I'm not sure I can handle riding along while we're wheelin...

But congrads on a good catch, you know she's a keeper if she loves the cruisers

My wife and I just bought an 89 HJ61 for her, we traded off her 03 honda for it, she loves it

i was in danger of lossing my 40 to her, however after some quick talking and a lucky find i,...erra, i mean SHE came in to a 60.

it seemed to me that the gutsie six in the 40 helped with her getting the stick thing.
i tryed for years to learn her, mostly in small 4cly cars and later the hilux. for her they were just stall-matics. once she got in the 40 it was no time at all till she had the hang of it.

Lost my mint 1985 4Runner "Sally" to my girlfriend. Given that she was driving a 528i and preferred the 4Runner, I was glad to make a trade with her. As I was zipping home a few days later, I saw her on the highway - things got really teary-eyed from that day forward...

I got Sally back now. Blown headgasket, bound to happen given the miles and the high gears in the diff. Give you one guess what will happen once I rebuild the motor...sniff...

Oh, what we will let our better halves get away with...

Ah, so this is a good reason to buy another 60. Get moving!

Looking for one.

Bone stock FJ60 or FJ62, excellent to mint condition.

Got money burning a hole in my pocket.

Unfortunately, you middle to left coasters have hogged them all.

Anything in my area is a bend over price, or beat up to hell.

Send anything you see my way.

I may have one for you, but it has a little mods done to it. 3"lift, but a whole bunch of new parts...minimal rust. Where do you live?

I'm in Atlanta.

I have unllimited buddy passes from Delta.

I'm installing Sirius before any trip back is made...for my own sanity. So the US is my roadmap.

Someone has to have one, I tried a few prospects from the sale section but those are leading to dead ends...

I prefer a FJ60, round eye for the slant eye. God, that could be a show huh? :D

Send me what you have:

I say bone stock because I don't want to figure out what you did (gears, custom weelds, etc, etc). An off-the-shelf lift, and things that elementary are acceptable. Neon is not :flipoff2:

My wife learned to drive stick driving cross country with her friend before we met.
Then she forgot.
Then she learned again in my Heep.
Then she forgot.
Then she took my 60 for a spin (when the P/S was out) and sorta remembered again.
Then she bought an 80. :)
I don't see her going back to stick any time soon.
I'm still working on diesel, though. :D

I am flying to Atlanta today...if weather permits. I didnt do any heavy mods to it except update the suspension. Isnt there a guy in Atlanta that works solely on LC's?? I think his name is Kerry, he drives a white 40....
anyhoo, I will send you an email..

"vortec in it" is hardly bone stock.

I'll spend what seller will take for it.

I'm killing this thread since we've completely hijacked it.
