Looks really nice. Have you noticed any impact on acceleration and handling? I'm thinking of getting the same kind of tires.

I haven't noticed any impact except braking. It seems to need a little more effort, but then again it's a heavier tire. I am now investigating slotted rotors. I am having the 45k service done next week and I am anticipating brakes so I am being proactive! The guys at the tire shop were betting me that they wouldn't fit, but when it was done they were taking pictures - they thought it looked great.

I think the exact same thing. If I can rig a SLEE slider with those lights on the running board I think I could sell the Wife on that Idea. I read you had the SP rotors? Would you recommend?

Looking great! Meaty!

It's cool to see more and more LXs and 100s getting modded!

Yea...you'd think there would be more aftermarket goods available: Like shocks, lifts, wheels, etc. Looks like there will be more selection for the new FJ before the almost 9-year old 100 get's it's due!

Them some nice tires! Good choice!

It wouldn't be too hard to rig up some lights for the slider steps.

I like the SP slotted rotors, so far so good. The Hawk pads work well too. I'll do the rear in about 10,000 mi. when the pads are done.

Are they loud? Could you drive them on the highway for an exended time period without getting tired of them???

They 'hum' a little, but not bad compared to BFG MT's. I have only had them on the highway for a couple trips so far. You do notice the noise a little compared to the factory tires, but if you simply turn on the radio a little you don't hear them. They do look pretty nice and the limited mud I've had them has been fun. We're getting 5-7" of rain today so I'm betting there will be some good testing tomorrow!

Did you go from stock tires to MT's or did you have AT's before? Is the ride rougher with them?

I went from stock to the MT's (only have 40k). I have had the Toyo AT's before on a Wrangler as well as BFG AT's on Jeeps and lots of trucks. It doesn't seem to ride any rougher. I don't know if the LX's have more sound deadening, but they really aren't all that bad - noise wise. In an effort for full disclosure, I must let you know that my Wife, after driving it, said we're getting another set of rims to go on in the fall once fishing season is over. She loved how "quiet" it was before, but I don't see it. They did wonderfully in the rain today. The Toyo MT's have siping unlike the BFG MT's so I would expect excellent handling in Snow/Ice conditions in addition to mud/offroad.

Thanks for the input it looks great but because I am on the highway so much I think I am going to stick with AT's my wife loves how quite it is too right now and I don't want to mess that up since she spends a lot of time with me when I travel.

285's fit all day long. No rubs.

295's fit as well... if you can find them.
