nah those are only "anti-wrap suggesters" :D

it need to be able to move because as the rear axle droops it swings backward, so the anti wrap also has to swing. You can sleeve it, if you dont like the idea of a shackle. Works like a drive shaft but no splines. And if you do that you dont need heims, because the twist is eated up by the slip, you can just use regular ol'bushings.

The anti wrap will begin the design stages tonight
I already have the heims and some shackles
I will prolly go that route

Sounds like a plan, Phil. I mean nothing says Gutless Bastid like being a sheep & doing what everyone else is doing. Way to be original

Went to Carls today to work on the axle again. Should be finished by next week.
using a set of Chrome-moly axle shafts with the mini style bearings & caps. some very thick axle tube, all new from the housing out & the 60 center section. This will also be a disc brake axle when finished.
Very excited, will post up some pics soon (i hope).

Using the mini truck t-case for sure now, & if I can afford the adapter, duals. If not, I will upgrade to that later. (I have 2 mini cases now).

John, I will need some of your expert advice ( since you are not a Gutless Bastid & had the Balls to make something new & different) on how you made your shifters work like they are, I wanna run a consul & use the "remote location" shifters. I have the testicular fortitude to try new things & I just want some pointers so I can understand how to make my own original remote location shifter(s)

hmmm, just flipped throught that thread, there isnt much about the linkage.

The shifters were extended through the floor and from there it is much easier to work with them. I used heims for joints on the ends of the links and just hooked links to the shifters.

you can play with height, leverage, and throw of the shifters by moving around the shifter mounts.

Im not really sure what you want to do, but it sure was fun to build and figure out how to set it up.

hey now.....DONT Fxxx WITH TONY!

Tony, dont take that s*** from phil'acio.

BTW, props tony for centering up that rear end!! I can see now if you want to keep that 60 for wheeling.

Now are tony and I officially 69'ing?

I've been bustin Phil'acios balls pretty bad lately. For no other reason than it's fun for me.
I'll let him have his little 5th grader come back ("you suck dick") Consider the source, & move along.

It is a mini truck guy thing, I mean I'm bi curious & all. I remember my roots. I ain't sayin I'll never go back just for old times sake.

I think the centered rear end is a great idea, It seemed to be the popular vote for a driveline solution from most of you guys & at first I was a bit iffy just cause I didn't know what was all involved..Now that it's under way & I have help & Carl's shop to work in , I'm all fired up about it...It's gonna be kick azz.

Now you know the struggle I have, everytime I see that damn blue roomer start blathering about something....

Fancy rear axle with disc brakes
4.11 gears

Dual mini cases with twin sticks
30 spline super set
62 springs front & rear (8 leaf packs)
Greasable pins & shackles (stock size)
Front bumper & winch (slow winch) from the 61
Sliders (with Carl fab extensions)
New, custom rear bumper (home made)
Fresh 350 TBI
Fresh TH350 tranny
