I am sure some of you remember in April we had to put down my Best Friend of 12 years, Joey. (And I would like to thank all of you for your condolances...it really helped) Well, before Christmas, my Dad surprised us with a new pup!

Awesome! With all the dog talk here, I can't wait to get a german shepherd pup. One of these days, one of these days...

And you can bet he'll be a Cruiser dawg, too!

Vizla?

nice lookin' pup you've got there! are you ready for damaged furniture, pee & poop stains & sharp teeth now? ahh, the joys of puppies! i want another one!

well, when we got our last dog, i was 7 years old....so now i actually am a part of the training process. He is done pissing and duecein in the house...but he can't keep his mouth off of anything!

(purebred yellow lab from a friend of a friend of a friend=$50) :D
Our last dog Joey was a yellow lab/golden mix....runt of the litter grew to 120lbs! :D

You got a dudley, I think. Nothing wrong with it, but you might to put some sunscreen on his nose if you take him out in bright sun for extended periods.

yeah, that was the first thing i noticed about him when we got him. The pic below makes him look really dudley....but in normal lighting (ie not a camera flash) he seems to be between dudley and liver. From what i've read its not a defect, more of a fluke in the genes. unique! :D

My bro in law has one with that pigmentation.

dudley or liver? any issues?

I guess that is debatable. He has light eyes, pink feet, and a pink nose. I'd say dudley, some might not. No real health issues (besides those of any other 12 year old dog), but his nose does burn and get crackly and peel from time to time because of the sun.
