Several months ago, I purchased a set of DBA Drilled/Slotted rotors. They've been sitting in my garage since. I finally said enough is enough and went to it yesterday. Here's some before and after pics.

Nice! Have you noticed better stopping power or performance?

Where did you get them and how much? They look nice. You should pull your hubs apart and clean them and regrease and repaint the two outside pieces. Just a good time to do it. I kept the dial gold and painted the outside piece black again. Wonder how much air can get to the inner side of the rotors with the backing plates.

That looks fantastic!! I'm planning on doing the 4runner calipers, etc, this summer so rotors are on the list. Where did you get them?

Got them from MAF and yes I wanted to clean all the hub parts, but we're taking off this weekend and I had to get this done before then.

There is a write-up around someplace that talks about putting 95 4-runner calipers on the 60. I think they have larger pistons with "better performance". You can get these calipers at A-zone for like 35 bux.

I didn't do this mod, but I contemplated it because all of little rubber seals on my pistons were torn.

Nice Bling, those look really good.

Thanks...so far so good. I have to be honest, my rotors were so bad before that I can't be quite sure that the improvement is due solely to the new rotors, but...I am pretty sure that they're better than they've ever been. Seem more solid, shorter stopping distance. 4 Runner Calipers next.

I like!! D/S rotors with the 4 Runner calipers should make the elephant stop on a dime! What type of pads are you going to run? Ceramics, semi-metallics, or stock? Be careful with the ceramics though, I've had a couple of warped rotors from using them. You might have better luck than I have since yours are D/S.

The plan is to run OEM pads with the 4 Runner Calipers. I am currently running OEM Pads with the stock calipers. Anyone else out there have ideas. I like the ceramic idea.

Gotta get 4-runner pads for the 4-runner calipers.

Isn't the only advantage of ceramic over semi-metallic a reduction in brake dust? I don't know about you guys, but I don't care about brake dust.

When I ran the ceramics they allowed for much more braking force without as much heat compared to the semi's. I also noticed less stopping distance using them. The draw back using ceramics is heat dissipation into the rotor but with drilled and slotted rotors that shouldn't be an issue. Ceramics are a bit more cost wise but they were worth it IMHO. My regular car mechanic swears by them.

if you use ceramic pads plan on changing the rotors more often !

Is 4runner calipers/pads swap need 4runner rotor or I can keep the Cruiser rotor ?

you can keep the cruiser rotors. i am runnign stock cruiser rotors.

No matter about keeping the stock Cruiser master with 4runner caliper/rotor ?

I don't think it's that big of an issue, but the bigger pistons of the calipers really beg for a larger master, from a T100 for example. Bolts in and has much more volume.
