Yeah! Sure i can wait.....The reason is that i have an original fj45 top but all the rest is a cowl and windswield from a fj40 and a aqualu tub...Custom from a fj40 frame etc.. and a toyota stout bed so all the parts are really hard to find here !

And don't forget if you have pic from how you work on the one of a kind bed:hillbilly: post it sure people will like to see this . Do you work bear feet too like Pakistan lol!!!!

Thnx again!

nice hinges ,
but something is curious on my Cruiser
I have no holes for bolts in the middle of the frame :hmm:
may be I have the first lightweight "green Cruiser" Toyota ever build to save gas :D

Nice to see you posting again Peter. I was wondering where you got to.

Your rear valence must have been altered (holes filled) at some point??? Perhaps not the original tailgate :meh: It looks to me that you have some different model year parts there. Hard to tell in the photo but the tail lights look old style and too close to the ends of the panel compared to mine (1978). My lights are longer.

I made sure to set aside four hinges for you if you want them :grinpimp:.

Programming is anywhere from 20 min to 2 hours for the flat layout depending on the complexity of the part. Then programming the brake is maybe another 30 min to an hour. There are over 40 pcs per bed (not counting lefts and rights). So thats anywhere from 34 to 120 hours... say average the two at 77 hours of programming and you haven't even made anything yet! You still have to setup the machine with the proper tooling and actually punch and bend something....

I'm not charging enough :frown:

I envy you Sir. :). I seriously am going to put this thing up on my "Have-to-get-and-learn" list. :). I know its serious stuff but the results are worth years of learning involved. :). Way to go. Please take some VDOs of the machine in work as well.

I've been working on my truck a bit and building/ shipping solenoid covers for the 8274 (see the classified section.) I've also been working on a rear sill for the 40's and I have a local guy buying a set of the bed parts that he wants loose (not assembled). I will soon be making a run of about four beds from scratch using zinc coated material this time. One is for me, one is sold and I have a few guys who haven't put deposits down yet.

If you'd like some chains I can put together a set and send them your way. I don't have any assembled at the moment but I have the materials all handy and I will be sending some stuff off my truck for plating this week and could include a set of chains. I don't have my pricing handy as I write this but If your into it send me a PM and I'll find it.

Oh- the cover... I haven't done anything with that and truthfully I have enough on my plate for now so I'll leave that up to the purchaser for the time being.

Kevin,

Are you still making FJ45 bed parts? I am in dire need of the floor pieces in particular along with other bits and pieces. I see that your last post on here was in 2009, but did read that you may be selling parts around 2014, which is now.

Thanks

No, sorry. I stopped production a couple of years ago and don't have plans to do more. I am making tailgates though. I have a batch of tailgates in progress right now.

How much for a tailgate? Mine in OK, but does have some cancer on the bottom, outside rib. I will take a closer look, so if the price is right, I would be interested. Sorry to hear you have stopped production, you will be missed.

Thanks

Hello Kevin,
Wrote you a couple times to put my name in the hat for a headache rack and rear sill to ship with my tailgate, just making sure I am on your radar, let me know if you need additional funds as a down payment for the ads. Thanks!

Andy

interested in a tailgate price as well...hopefully wouldn't need shipping so long as pick up is ok with you.

Sorry for the slow reply here guys. The tailgates are $500 each plus shipping which varies but last time was about $75. I have been working on this batch for a few weeks here already and should have them done soon. I had all of the confirmed buyers put down a deposit of $100 just to help buy materials to get started and also to make sure they didn't disappear when it came time to ship. Been there, done that.

I am making like twice as many as I have confirmed orders for so there should be enough to go around, though I'm sure I'll sell them all before the end of the summer.

Andy, yer all good man, we can square up when ready to ship.
