Hi there.
I've got a 1995 HZJ75 Troop carrier which im replacing the factory centre and rear exhaust for OEM Toyota parts. Its the same as the HZJ78 exhaust so applies to that vehicle also if you have done the same job on a 78.
Manifold - front pipe I have already changed
My question is about removing the centre section. I dont have a lift so will be doing it on the traditional way on the ground but have a good jack etc so some raising of the frame for more clearance below on that side is possible
I was looking at yesterday and it looks tricky to get the L shaped centre section out without being able to swing the front part of it down and then wiggling out the side... as up and over the frame. Im not sure you have that clearance whilst on the ground. Any videos i have found are of the ute trayback version which allow better access to the side as the body isnt in the way like the Troopy. Just wondering if anyone who has done the job already could shed some light on how easy the factory centre section is to remove on the ground and the method / tricks / used if so.
kind regards from Scotland
Neil
