Been searching here and elsewhere for a couple of days and I'm not yet 100% sure what better options than the stock 24mm plug are available.

Will the Lexus 14mm plug I've seen mentioned fit a 1990 HZJ73 front diff fill AND drain plug?

Are the threads all the same for numerous Toyota vehicles?

Yes — the Lexus 14mm hex plug will fit your 1990 HZJ73 front diff fill and drain ports. Toyota used M18 x 1.5 threads across many models for decades. Just know that not all 14mm Allen plugs have the magnetic tip like your original might. If you're wanting a magnetic drain plug, verify before buying--if that's important and relevant.
