there is a bit of info regarding replacement(s) for "early HZ/HD starters".

I'm simply adding to the possibilities.

starter(s) for the Yanmar 6LP variations are a DIRECT replacement. no nosecone swaps, no voltage discrepancies, 12 tooth Pinion in a 2.5KW

generic part # 410-52134

and at $138, I'll just keep one on the shelf, 1/2 a banana-45 minute job max

early??? not sure what the difference is but I have a 1991 HDJ81 and I swapped in a 12V from a late model 1993-2006 no issues

early??? not sure what the difference is 1HD-FTE

I will run the numbers when I get back in front of a computer, but I am pretty certain the only discernible difference is with the ignition lead terminal on the solenoid.

Since many owners don’t like surprises, I was trying to keep the info to “plug and play”
