i had this posted on the lighting forum but don't think many saw it there. cross posting here. copy and pasted below

I found there wasn't much information to be found if replacing turn signals for LED bulbs. Found information for the 80 but not 100 series. So thought I would just put this out there.

If you've tried already you'll know that you get the hyper flashing blinker which kept me from going ahead with LED bulbs. I initially bought a different relay but it didn't work even though it said it would fit. But it was a 3 pin and didn't work obviously. But then I found this relay on amazon https://amzn.to/2FfK0IM that fixes the hyper flashing. They also sell one with an adjustable dial. I just got the regular one. So far it's worked great! If you follow the brake pedal up you will see the relay bolted onto the metal frame. Unscrew and unplug. It's up to you whether or not to swap the bracket over. I just ziptied it out of the way.

These are the bulbs I got for the front https://amzn.to/32jrdFs 1157 size
and these for the rear https://amzn.to/32ijGGF 7443/7440 size

Hopefully this helps some people out!

I’m replacing my headlights and front turn lenses and want to swap to LED for my turns, if I get the relay can I keep my rears stock until I’m ready to swap them or will the aftermarket relay affect the Incan bulb flash rate in the rear?

After 2 months of troubleshooting struggle, I think I finally found my electrical gremlin.

I switched to LED turn signals back in August with the LED relay ( https://a.co/d/4lEWCWU ) and had 2 complains: 1. it is so much louder than the OEM one, 2. It made the blinker do "ghost" blinks, after the stock would return to its original condition (I think there's another post about this too) Where if the stock would return to no turning condition from turning right, it would make the LEFT turn signal blink 2-3 times, or stay on for 3-4 more clicks even after the stock is back to neutral position.

That's something I could work around since nothing was functional. Then I installed TJM (T17) bumper with their LED turn signals, I wired them with the regular headlights turn signal and weird things started happening. Now I have LED TJM bumper turn signals + LED headlight/tail light with the aftermarket relay.

I didn't really think anything was related to turn signals since everything was happening was while driving:

1- Throttle hesitation around 2-3k rpm. This one is kinda hard to explain, but as I was driving with a steady speed, the RPM would fluctuate (200-300 rpm) bouncing for couple second then disappear. Took me a while to realize, it only happens when I have my turn signal on, and the rpm bounce with the blinking rhythm.

2- ABS light, this one made me spend over $100 for all new ABS sensor. Again, an ABS light would come on when turning, making me think the speed sensors were bad or something of that nature. But now realizing only when I had the turn signal on... The ABS light would leave no OBD II code.

3- Final issue was what made me realize the problem was related with the turn signal. I just finished a 2k miles road trip and using cruise control a lot. Cruise control would get knocked off when changing lane, but obviously, not all the time (only when using turn signal).

Sorry for the weird and long explanation.

TLDR: still need to figure out if LED is helping causing the problem, or just too many LED on the regular turn signal circuit causing a voltage drop and messing with the throttle, ABS module and cruise control.

If anyone also has that setup and none of the issues, please let me know. I'd rather not use resistors for the setup.
