Online I see these wheels fit up to 2006. Will they fit my 2007? I have factory 18's on there right now

Do you stock anything similar?

Yes, these will fit your 2007. They fit pretty much all of the IFS 5x150 Toyota trucks and Land Cruisers. I no longer stock these.

why don't you stock them anymore? also how do 33's look with them?

He's checking on ordering them. I think he meant, in-stock. I haven't found any pics with 33's. That's what I'm leaning towards, and would like a pic somehow...

Hey Brian,

I finally got a couple of the Hutchinson's mounted up over the weekend. Here are a couple photos of the matte black wheels on my 2000 LX. Tires are Toyo MT 35x12.50r17's. Thanks for the great deal on these...sorry it took me so long to get this done. The Toyo's were $430 apiece new and that was a obstacle until I found a set for sale for $260 apiece. Brought it down to a reasonable cost per corner.

Do you know if the individual studs are replaceable? I found one on the spare wheel that was a little finicky...I may have to replace it down the line.

Again, thanks for the working with me on these. Super happy! Awesome setup except for the combined weight!

That setup looks incredible. Incredibly sexy, incredibly heavy...just incredible.

I think they look better on the lx than they do on the tundra. I think the tundra almost needs more wheel. Just my .02

To be clear, I'm talking about the Pro Comp Wheels. The Hutchinson's are top notch quality wheels. My only gripe with them is the price and it isn't that I think it is unreasonable, just out of my price range.

Aesthetics, well that is for you to decide.

That is my issue with them, the price. Plus the weight of the Hutchinson's and from what I hear the pita to mount them up.

Cheers

Love these wheels! Any more pics of them on a 100?

Yeah, I haven't seen any new pics of anybody else putting these on their rigs. A couple of guys are running them on their 200's. Going to probably be another year until I get them on the rig full time...probably going to do a SAS in the next year or so and the side benefit will be having the ability to run these.

What mods, trimming and suspension set up was done to clear these tires? Do you use spacers? Is your AHC in high in this photo? Do they rub? If so, on what?
Thanks in advance

Hey @2004lx, just FYI, the pictures just show a stock LX with the wheels and tires mounted. I have not set up the rig to use these yet. To actually be a usable setup off-road, the mod list is pretty extensive:

1. Remove the AHC system.
2. Diff Drop kit.
3. Max out front torsion bars with aftermarket UCA's and new shocks.
4. New coils and shocks on the back to match.
5. 1.5" body lift with front and rear bumper lifts.
6. Trim the inner wheel well slightly behind each wheel.

Those are the big mods to make it work. Other things to do would probably be extended bump stops, extended sway bar links, probably extended breathers, and maybe extended brake lines. None of these have I yet done.

The only other option is to do a SAS, which is what I am planning on doing. That would eliminate the need for items 2, 3, 5, and 6 from the list above. Of course, at a great expense.

Spacers are not needed as the wheels push everything out about 1".

I believe AHC was set to high at the time this photo was taken. However, the front is lifted about 1/2" off the ground with the jack stands.

Definitely a doable and awesome setup, just requires time and cash.

Wanted to update the thread with a little more info on these wheels. There wasn't too much out there when I was looking to buy a set.

The wheels can use OEM center caps.

The installation process is simple once you get the hang of it. I found that 2x4s were handy to have around, and an impact gun made things easier when bolting the wheels together.

The more difficult part for me was figuring out how to wrestle the rubber beadlock piece into the wheel. This is what allows the two pieces of the wheel to lock together when you bolt it up. The hole you see there can be setup for TPMS, but I don't have that on my 2001.

Inserting the back half of the wheel. The 2x4s help to push the wheel up into the tire and prevent scratches.

The white ring is the O ring that provides the air tight seal once it's bolted together. You need to stretch it a little to fit, so some vaseline on the O ring helps hold it in place. These are reusable, but keep spares on hand as this is probably where a leak will come from if the O ring gets old or damaged.

Assemble with the provided nuts, starting with the three longer assembly studs -

and torque in a star pattern to 100 ft-lb.

Then repeat.

Little time consuming, but a fun process. Manual is here:

Needed to have tire lube:

as well as pry bars and valve stem removal/installation tools.

The offset is perfect for the 100 in my opinion.

I went with Cooper ST Maxx, 34s (285/75r17 - actually measure out to 33.5" ish)

This tire and wheel combo is seriously heavy. 40 lbs for the wheels, 60 for the tires.. the rotational mass is noticeable but not as bad as I was afraid.

Some tire shops won't touch beadlocks, so be prepared to balance them yourself or find a 4x4 shop or smaller tire shop that will.

I have one leak so far, losing about 10 psi a day. I ordered a couple O rings from Hutchinson and will have to tear that wheel down and redo it.

They've worked great on my cruiser so far - I have a 2.5" OME kit with SPC UCAs and a diff drop. I will need to get a hammer and pound the pinch weld flat in the front wheel wells, but that's standard for bigger tires, no matter the wheel.

I also have center caps and covers for the studs, but I might just leave it as is.

Did you buy the wheels new or used? Really good info you posted on the install. Never really considered the works involved to mount these.

How do the Coopers ride? Ive been going back & forth between the ST MAXX and the STT Pro. Max really look like a good all-round option.

@ikarus, didn't you get these from shredwagon? They were listed at a killer price too and looked to be in near new condition. You got them just a few months before I bought shred's 100 series. Ha ha those gorgeous wheels should have been mine!

Thanks for a great writeup. Have you given any thought to the Dynabeads that auto balance the tires as you drive? Someone else with a Tacoma that was SAS'd did a writeup on these and puts 9 oz of the balancing beads in when assembling the wheels.
Hutchinson Rock Monster DOT legal REAL beadlock wheels and 37" tires

If only these wheels weren't 2500 for a set of 5... There is just still so many other projects that are calling for my dollars.

Also, do these feel heavy enough that they might cause any issues with the driveline or front IFS?

Used. Wasn’t looking for new wheels but saw these at a price I couldn’t pass up. The coopers are amazing tires. This is my fourth set of st Maxx, and I’ve never had a flat, even with a few nails and screws.

The st Maxx ride really well. There’s almost no road noise. I would have bought stt pro but they didn’t come in 285/75r17. 35s would have been cool but I’d like to try this size first before I get into a body lift. St Maxx are still perfect for 99% of what I do here in Utah.

Haha yes, the price was too good! Couldn’t pass em up. But I was the same way, too many other things to buy for 2500 (4000 with tires really) Your cruiser is supercharged right? I’m jealous of that! I’ve been wondering if it’s just too much of a waste of money to turbo mine..

I’m still undecided on balancing beads. Lots of opinions good and bad. As far as the weight, I’m waiting to see. So far I’m just a little slower. It’s really only 20lbs heavier per wheel than my previous setup
