They re-use the names, they retire ones based on how much destruction/death toll the storm leaves in it's wake I believe. Someone correct me if i'm wrong...

Tell me, I am leaving from the annual to go to Folly for a week... Fiona isn't making me happy either

Let us hope for lots of mud prior to every trail ride this fall. I missed our last great muddy adventure to durhamtown

I wouldn't be worrying about Fiona it's Gaston I'd be hoping doesn't form. I'm going to be just west of Summerville this weekend. Looks like if anything we will get some nice wind.

I was planning on heading to the beach for Sunday and Labor Day. Might just have to hold tight in the mid-state.

I have a feeling we are going to get hit by something this season. The last time Hugo hit we had a hard winter and a hot summer. I think we have been too lucky for too long.

At least if we do get hit, it will keep SC out of the double dip recession that is coming.:)

I believe this is a very valid statement and I have echoed this down here. This is exactly what happened in the '04-'05 season where I got hammered 3 times with direct hits from Frances, and Jeanne in '04 and Wilma in '05. Not to mention the numerous near-hits during that same era.

Hopefully some nice waves too. I think I may be "sick" Thursday and Friday depending on the waves at Folly.

Big Hurricane coming to Clemson on Oct.2nd. Forecast is for complete devastation.........

Models I saw had it downgraded to a tropical depression after passing through Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
And what's a little mud to a bunch of red-necks. Heck Clemson Orange is just a white t-shirt rubbed in red mud after a few times through the wash.

Yes it is. Looks like Bermuda may be in trouble...

Well, it's no hurricane but we have received over 3" of rain since midnight and more is expected to fall during the next 12 hours. Only sporadic winds gusts so far but the center is still south of me. Wind and seas are building later this morning. The center of the projected path takes it right over my home town later today...

Going to the boat to do some inside work and then leaving for the Upstate with my good friend Capt. JC at 5 pm this afternoon. I think it will be a rainy drive all the way.
