this is just unbelievable.

We lost power 430 sunday morning. Have been recharging our iphones on the car battery since. We had sustained 50 mph winds from 11am until 10 pm with gusts over 60mph a fair amount of beach errosion and tree damage mostly the swamp maples estimates on power are getting it back tonight or in a week fun stuff for those damage junkies a decent collection of photos can be found at newportnow.com

I'm still without power.

I did not do anything, even left my bird feeders hanging up and they did not come down. My neighbors fence on the other hand decided to lay on my lawn. Overall just windy with some sporadic heavy rains mixed with sprinkles. Lost most of its thump before it hit Maine, or atleast Auburn. Hope everyone else faired well.

Lots of wind and rain up here, but not nearly as bad as what I am seeing in those VT videos...that is crazy :frown:

Drove around this morning to assess the damage but it looks like we got very luck in Windsor, far more so then surrounding areas.
The water in the Conn. River has already dropped a lot. When we went by 3 hours ago it was up to the top of the corn, you can still see the mud line.

...was just looking at the news...seems a lot of flash floods, some roads being washed out, lots of trees down...not good...

From another forum...

A friend of mine sent me this shot of his house this morning. He lives (lived) 3 miles west of the Long Trail Brewery; 5 miles from the Killington line. I told him he can stay at my place but he can't get there until they fix Route 4

Route 4 in Mendon is going to be a while. ....like weeks. The local electric company, CVPS, is trying to get the state to put in a 1 lane road for emergency vehicles.

North of Killington is also impossible. The bridges failed in Pittsfield. They're trying to battle their way south on Route 100 to Killington assuming that Route 4 will be open long before Route 100 gets fixed. Woodstock and Ludlow both flooded so there's no telling when you will be able to get out to the south or east.

Even worse, the Long Trail Brewery got flooded
