What can we do as a club to help our brothers in Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida? I'm willing to take a day or two off of work to deliver supplies, e.g., water, food, propane, diapers, baby wipes, whatever you guys think they could use.

What do you guys think?

Maybe tag up with our ONSC brethren. As they're discussing in the below thread, logistics is the major hurdle.

I reached out to the Todd Volunteer Fire Department in North Carolina just a few minutes ago. The lady I talked to said she's putting together a list of supplies on their facebook page. I plan to make a delivery this weekend maybe even Friday. If you guys would like to contribute to the delivery let me know. Maybe we can meet somewhere along 66 or the 495.

This location was mentioned in the link @iptman mentioned.

On the ONSC page (post #13), it appears that there is a central drop-off point in Hickory where material is being airlifted to survivors. You might want to reach out to Hokie LX for more information as he's the one that posted about Hickory.

This was a great idea. How'd it end up working out?
I don't know about ONSC's experience but I have been down 2 times to just outside Swannanoa NC and the effort is heartwarming but he damage is significant. I know it gets political when you describe the disaster response but the private entities are able to do many of the chores and needs much quicker than any of the federal or legacy disaster relief agencies
