I am having trouble changing the door lock actuator motor as I am unable to remove the lock assembly from the door to reach the actuator. Removing door panel was easy though. Please help me in this regard, as otherwise all the mechanic charge over 200 dollars to fix this lock issue.
It is important for me to fix this because of children who sit in the back seat.

I removed the three screwed from the side of the door which holds the lock assembly but I couldnt get the lock out. Also, how can I remove the actuator? If this can be taken out without removing the lock assembly, that will be ideal. In the attached picture, the actuator is hanging from the door while the lock unit is still held in place as you see in the last picture, B the actuator is not attached with A which is the rest of the lock assembly still tied to the door

Please help.

You were supposed to take the whole latch assembly out, not just the actuator.

Didn't you see the thread where is spells it out step by step?

You do have to remove the whole lock assembly. Reread that other thread closely, I read and Reread 3 times and hit all the links mentioned. Pay particular attention to landcruiser phils pictures at post 73. There are other enlightening photos also.

I thought the back doors were easier since there is just one rod to disconnect. After everything is disconnected you can move the entire lock assembly. Be careful when pulling it out as to not bend the cables. Best to disconnect the cables or the whole interior door latch so you don't twist or bend them. If you bend them to much you would need to get new wire cables and you don't want to do that.

You have to remove the rod out of the clip. Look at the pictures and then shine a light in door panel to figure out how the rod attaches while looking at his pictures and the others on here.

The front door the window guide screw must be removed. The back doors I don't remember having to do that.
