Hola.
I am still waiting for my books to come- but can't wait to get my rig running right. I have searched continuously and am going down the list (in order of ease and $$) as to what is causing it not to idle... I am at the idle solenoid on my list- how do I remove it and check it?

It's an 83 fj40 outta AUS.

Thanks in advance.

to check it you can hook a jumper wire up to the lead, touch it to the battery, does it click?

Fixed it.

Okay,
Through some searching and whatnot... I fixed the problem- For those of you interested- I removed the idle solenoid (by just turning it counter clockwise ), determined it was not working (no click) and since the earliest I can get a new one is Wednesday :bang: (at which time I will fix it right)- I searched for alternatives... found a thread about cutting off the plunger end and did just that... It works and no dieseling so far.

Essentially all I did was disconnect it and put it back in (minus the plunger end) to plug the hole.

Thanks.:flipoff2:
