Hiya'

I have pretty well ruled out every single pulley in my truck that could be making noise. Next is the alt pulley.

How do I remove this one? Obviously there's a bolt on the front but the pulley spins along with the bolt when I loosen or tighten it, will somehow holding the pulley while unscrewing work, or does it need to be held from somewhere else? (eg: does it atill spin inside the alternator?)

Is it the pulley or the alternator itself?

You can try a strap wrench to hold the pulley and try a breaker bar but the easiest would be to use an impact wrench.

The "alt pulley" is an integral part of the alternator itself.

Are you saying you want to dismantle the alternator? If so, pull the alt from the vehicle first.
