I was wondering if any of you have done this electrical installation & how,
im goin to have 2 batery in the trailer
i want to be able to turn on the runig light on the trailer ( the rear & side markers ) after i disconect the 4 pin conector from the vehicle.
This is for safty purpose in case i have to disconnect the trailer from the veh. On the side off the road & have lights on it ( the rear hazard flasher & the side markers )
& at the same time i want to be able to turn them off using a toggle sw or cancel by it self , after i conneted back to the veh, 4 pin conector just in case i forget to turn the light off,
i dont want to short out the veh, 12 volt system with the trailer 12 volt system

Running/ tail lights would be easy just buy a vehicle side 4flat connector and wire the connect the tail light wire to a fused 12v source on the trailer, ground wire to the negative terminal of the trailer batt. Unplug the "real" vehicle side harness & plug in the one you just installed.
Flashers would require the installation of a flasher module on the trailer. ( not worth it IMO)

Pick yourself up a trailer brake battery from an RV supply store, there small. and last a good time withuot recharge, if all you are running is for safety, youll have no issues if you cant find one at your location PM me and ill send you one.

the trailer is goin to have 2 batterys, & I was thinking of instaling some relays to connect the batterys in line with the trailer harnes & using a sw to turn on & off the ligths after the trailer was disconnected from the veh, with out the need of making any electrical connetion,
for rigth now I goin to install a 2nd 4 way pin conector to the battery in the trailer, to power up the lights after the trailers is unplug from the TLC.

About what I was going to suggest as well. No need for a dedicated switch, just plug and unplug to turn the lights on and off.
Flasher wouldn't be much harder. Just use a two terminal flasher, wire one pin to power like the tail lights wire; connect the other pin to both turn signal wires in the vehicle side socket or connector.
