OK, you found me out, :flipoff2:I have little skills on the PC creative side, powerpoint seemed easy to work with at first:rolleyes:, shows exactly what I know.

what I did so far is put a picture of the seal (v1.0) and a picture of the group on top of McGrew, with the text:

NICE TRUCK!

Interested in technical assistance, friendly gatherings, family adventures with good folks that share similar interests?
Come see us on the web at
www.JeffersonStateCruisers.com

above the pictures.

.ppt seems limited when printing, I will have to try something else that can be quartered in the print preferences. Is there a program or file type that works best to load to the JSC website? I'll get a chance to do more when naptime comes for the kiddos.
LoL, don't worry about the formating I'll get it into PDF and make it a 1/4 page. You can email it to me at landcruiser @ thedarkrealms.com
Just put JSC in the title and I'll make sure to be looking for it.

Don't worry about it. You can e-mail it to someone here (like me) and they can make sure to get it to Brian.

If you do it in (and I can't believe i"m saying this  )....Excel.....then it can be easily quartered. Just choose to show the print area and you can easily see the print area...or do it in Word and Brian or someone else can convert it....
Don't worry I'll take care of it. Excel FTW! Lol, I love that program.
If we want a business card version as well I have a format for that for those that want to go to say staples and get the cheap business cards. Let me know.

There are some places online where you can get business cards super cheap. A couple years ago I got something like 500 cards (full color, both sides) for like $15. They looked nice too. :meh:

darkrealms, I'll send you the working copy, can you post it here or on the JSC site for a discuss&vote?

note to self; good hand-off:p

I'll make any changes if you guys want, maybe there are more ideas for the flyer that have not been posted.

I personally think that it would be nice to have our club seal on the front of the card... just my $.02 and if that was already mentioned or decided my bad haven't been to the forum in almost a whole week so may have speed read just past it.

I'll shoot you back the copy I modified (couple of alignment things and empty fields but thats it) for the current 0.1 version of the "FLYER" ; p

Heres the link for our current thoughts. V0.1 !
http://jeffersonstatecruisers.com/jscflyer.pdf

EDIT
There is no link in the site yet for this. It will become available once this has been solidified.
And remember tblume [strike]was[/strike] volunteered for this.
/EDIT

I like it, I assume once we solidify our October run/meeting there will be a good group shot to go there, but a good start and good teamwork, thanks.

now, is there consensus on the seal?.......
the one I put there is by no means what we voted for, just the last one I saw when I did the draft.

:D

On a related subject, we should have a "contact us" email button on our web site. Whom ever is our "Recruiting representative" should have a JSC email addr. That person will be the first friendly voice a newbe will hear.

I like it!

Couple of fairly minor points.

[Grammar Nazi]
Interested in technical assistance, friendly gatherings, and family adventures with good folks of similar interests?

The and is missing.
[/Grammar Nazi]

Additionally I would drop the "good" part. If we need to tell people that we're good...well....

Second thought, there should be a space between the picture and the seal/flag.

Third thought, instead of solid lines all the way around, just do faint/dotted lines down the middle. That way we can make two cuts and have 4 parts, instead of making 6 cuts.

NO SOUP FOR YOU!!

-soup nazi-

I'll make those changes, no need to advertise our :hillbilly: nature right out of the gate.

edit
:hhmm:darkrealms has locked the .pdf, what am I gonna do now?

Hey, I included it in *MY* change. :D

(Note: if you're going to poke fun at someone you might want to spell "grammar" right. Unless you're trying to call me an "older-woman-with-at-least-two-generations-of-descendents nazi". :p )

You forgot the "tits hanging down to your belt" part!

Ok whining nazi

The and has been added and the good has been removed.

As far as the spacing, thats not gonna happen with the way it is laid out.

The borders aren't actually on the pages. Thats some thing that MS addes when you print multiple pages on one page. . .

It has been updated.

it is a work in progress; like the seal, club, all our trucks, and everyone and their inner child:flipoff2:

I want to bring up (again) the October meeting/run;
when, where, what to bring? a good group photo could be took then for this flyer, and a good day on the trail?
