If one doesn't have the means to fabricate the stunningly engineered plate such as Onur's (I love you man) there are other options.

How about welding up the hole on the intake plenum side of the EGR valve? I've been thinking about doing this instead of block off plates.

if i could weld aluminum id be all on it...still learning. for now i think a block off plate would be easiest.

Dan or Onur might be able to find out for sure but I would venture to bet they are the same. Maybe one of the guys who has a Supra can comment.

Doesn't this take two different sized gaskets/plates? I was just looking at the EGR off another motor and it appears they are not identical.

I just pulled the vacuum hose off the egr to disable mine, then put a resistor on the heat sensor connecter to trick the ECM into not throwing a code. Works like a charm. I definately noticed a slight power and mileage increase and better throttle response.

I have had no problems with detonation so far, even with my timing advanced to about 7 or 8 degrees. The engine definately runs smoother without having hot inert exhaust being dumped into it.

Some might argue that the egr system is there for some other reason than to lower emissions.
It isn't. The EGR system is there to lower NOX to meet federal emission standards and nothing more.
I guess this doesn't answer your question about block off plates, just thought I would share my solution and 2 cents...

I am building some that fit tight in a plug similar to the one removed from the wiring harness. It's a 4.7k ohm.
