here I thot this was gonna be information on how to weld to cast and have it tear away, thus lightening the 14-bolt :D

full spool would shave some LBS

having trouble with your detroit? you did have a detroit?
 
If you own a 14 bolt and are actually concerned with weight you have issues ;)



it was welded before.

I had a lockright in the front that is going to be replaced with a detroit.
 
why not a spool?
 
it is, its a mini spool, but it probably weighs more then a full spool.

unless your talking about what he is going to do in the front axle?
 
it was cheaper than a full spool.

The 14 bolt carrier is super strong. Why replace it.

And I think the only full spool for a 14 bolt was something like $300..
