Hi, can we install a usb charger on the driver side lower dashboard? I found there are couple of blank mould there. If possible please let me know how to do it or any information about this. Thanks!

Are you just looking for wiring info for that area? It looks like you’ve found a plug insert you like.

What model/year is your truck?

Mine is 04 lc100, I didn't find the plug, I just want to install a plug like that. I want to know if there is a plug like that we can use for lc100. Thanks!

After some research, I found some options:
1. Charge plug/port with "Fuse tap"
2. Charge plug/port with a connector for cigarette lighter
Seems both will do the work, Any suggestion about the choice?
If I chose the first one, is there any common tutorial for that?
If I chose the second one, should I get some very long extension wire to wire the plug from driver side corner to the cigarette lighter at the center?

There is switched 12V available behind those switches that you can tap into:

- 12V to the Power Mirror switch is active with the key in the ACC position. It's the solid green wire on the Power Mirror switch connector
- 12V to the Rear Window switches is active with the key in the IGN position. It's the red-with-light-blue-stripe wires going to either switch.
- Ground can be found on the white-with-a-black-stripe wires at any of the above switches.

If you want the USB outlets to be constantly powered you'd need to install a Fuse Tap in the fuse panel behind the driver's kick panel. Fuse #20 (for the driver's power seat) is always active and would provide plenty of power (30A) for simultaneous operation of the USB outlets and seat motors. Again, ground can be found on any white-with-a-black-stripe wire, or attaching a wire to the chassis metal.

To access behind the switches you'll need to remove the lower trim panel. The black switch panel in your pic is part of the larger panel and does not pull out.

1. Remove the black instrument cluster trim panel by simply pulling it outward and unplugging the dimmer connector:

2. Then unscrew the Fuel Door & Hood release levers and the lower left trim panel screw:

3. The lower trim panel can now be pulled off, releasing five push-in fasteners around its edges while watching out for the Cabin Air Sensor hose on the right side of the steering wheel:

Does that piece match the size that you want to substitute? I prefer round devices, a unibit make easy work of it.

Thanks for these info 👍🏻

There is a youtube vid on Blue Sea install center console. Not exactly what's being discussed here but similar. I'd like to use the cig lighter port on my FJ60 for this purpose. Also would like to install a 12v port in the rear cargo area (side panel) to run a 12v ice box/reefer. Here is the youtube link.

These looks nice, thanks!
This is what I have as well, just used the center cig lighter in the lower dash molding vs. the 120w power outlet.
