How to cut UMHW

I am getting ready to order some for my sliders but want to make sure i am able to cut it to sie once i get the sheet. Can you cut this stuff with a skill saw? Seems like alot of places that sell it are also offering to cut to size so it does worry me that it has to be cnc'ed. I am looking at a 3/4 inch thinckness

It'll cut just fine with a skil saw, miter saw, or a jigsaw. For ripping long lengths, a table saw is ideal..

Got a guy at work who is always playing with the stuff. Just be steady with whatever you use, so as to get those neat lines that make it look like you have a CNC machine! He always uses normal woodworking tools, it's pretty soft stuff in some respects, so you shouldn't have a problem with cutting it.

We cut the stuff all the time here at work. It is like machining bubble gum. Freezing it with dry ice or cold spray works well. If you are cutting the sheet, then a nice sharp razor blade or Xacto blade works well on a straight edge.

For 3/4 inch, Use a skill or table saw, We used to use it in the fab shop I worked in, Tried the fancy made for it blades but they just tended to melt it, Use a high tooth count (for a 71/4 inch saw think 24t +) blade and you will be fine. The router does make the edges look pretty. It works just like wood, unly it is a bitch to clamp down.

skill saw will work but look terrible. that stuff looks best when its cut with a machining center or some kind of saw with fence like a table saw.
