Hey guys long time no see. I spilled a beer two weeks ago in the cooler box. It has started to smell moldy even though I did a thorough job of cleaning it out. But it still smells moldy. Any recommendations.
Cheers.

Enzymes seem to pretty much clean everything, but what do I know...

Pour some baking soda in there, rub it around. Let it sit for a couple of days don't use the cool box. Then vacuum it out. Now soak a rag in white vinegar and wipe it out. Let it dry out, then put a small plastic bag with baking soda, zip lock, partly open. That will collect any remaining odor and keep it smelling good.

My wife spilled some milk in ours and did not tell me. Can't stink more then spoiled milk!!! This got rid of the smell. Good luck

splash some brute in there and call it a day

Another vote for StarSan of Iotaphor.

Lol, at the fact that you spilt beer in your truck.

Dang. I did know this was an option. Is there anyway to get a cooler box added?

The Cool Box is installed instead of the storage console between the driver and passenger seats. Essentially that area becomes one large storage bucket that AC cooled air is pumped into via a vent (can be turned off). Aside from probably being really expensive to retrofit, you would lose all the storage organizers you currently have.

Lots of people here have commented that they would rather get rid of the Cool Box and have properly organized storage.

I would live to know the story of the cooler box. I imagine the prototype 200 going to Australia and the Aussies sticking a 6 pack of Tooheys in there and giving it the approval. Japanese engineers scratching their heads, why didn't we think to put beer in there.
