Anyone have tips on how to clean a fluid pump and associated tubing that was used for brake fluids, transmission fluids, oil, etc?

My concern is that if I use soap/water will I be able to fully flush and dry it out?

Obviously I don't want contamination b/w uses (brake fluid in oil etc) and Idon't want water or soap left in the tubes either.

Thanks!

Have seen most people going and using Petrol for cleaning spot of Oil and stuff. Try using Petrol going to be far more effective as to what results soap and water has resulted.....

To be clear, I'm not talking about a spot of oil - I'm talking about tubing and a fluid pump that I used to transfer fluids from vehicle to container. I want to know how to clean the pump and tubing and how to dry it. If I used petrol wouldn't that be another contaminant that I don't want in there for the next use?

Tubing is really cheap. Buy a big hunk of it, cut off several pieces, label them for each use. It's not worth the hassle to clean it.

Hose the pump out with brake cleaner, then blow it out with compressed air.
