How much to install motor?

It is generally a black piece of plastic about 6" long that should come with your clutch kit. It lines up the pressure plate with the pilot bearing in the end of the crankshaft. Once everything is lined up, finish bolting your pressure plate down.

Is yours a step flyhwheel or flat?

I ordered a new one from Dan so I am not sure which type it is. Hopefully everything I need will come with the stuff I ordered. Hopefully ;)

engine install

Take note of how the motor mounts go in and they are different on each side---well the metal part is at least on my 71

also helps too loosen up the bolts on the engine too get the the holes lined up to put the bolts in

it's easier I hear to put the engine tranny and xfer case in as a unit I didnt cause I had trouble after finding out my trans jack adapter would not fit my jack

Later I put the trans in with a come along and a couple ratchet straps while hanging it from a sawhorse I set in the tub over the trans tunnel

I am away so have to go back and hook everything up yet but yes this is an excellent way to save 1000 bucks. I rented a hoist for $30 from Sunbelt

I already had the front clip off and i would recommend this as it only takes about 30 minutes to take it all off

I am with Green Country and more involved with Oklahoma Trail Chasers.I have no problem stabbing that beast and will run my 40 North to play.I need more info, though.Do you have a cherrypicker/Trans Jack/a couple floor jacksand more importantly a sack of 12 mm sockets to help a brotha out?I'm not kidding. Can you toss it on a trailer and roll South? This is a 1 day project if you have all your junk correct and the tools to do it.Bring it here and I'll do it for the hell of it.I've got priors for this and it always seems more fun when you don't have to grab your wallet. You can call at (405) 413-6681 Darryl. One of my 40's is at the bottom of the members rigs on Green Country's sight.Later.

Darryl,

Yes, I have the cherry picker, jack stands, jack, air tools, everything hopefully that I need to get her running. Do you ever make it over to Tulsa? Would be great to meet another Mudder...

I don't have a trailer to tow her to OKC unfortunately... You sound like you know your stuff so I would love to talk with you sometime. I will give you a call later and we can talk more.

Thanks man,
Jonny
