watch out hauling too much. we put a bunch of busted bricks in the back of my truck and dented the bed in so bad the tailgate wouldnt close. once we got everything unloaded me and my friend had to push the bed sides apart and bend it back to get it to shut again and from now on it happens with ease if i drop something heavy in there. i know it sounds bad but i got my truck to use as a truck so it doesnt bother me so long as it hauls the loads.

Dirt bikes, gear and fire wood is all I've carried in mine as of yet.

The worst I have done with my current 05 2.7 4x4 is haul a yard of 3/4" stone. The rear bumpstops were about 1/4" from the frame. Hauled it OK about 10 miles home. Did that 3 times in one day.

I did the same with my 96 Tacoma 2.7 L and cracked both rear spring sets. This was the second set of leaf springs on the otherwise stock vehicle and no they were not OE replacements....I went with the 4 leafs. I think the rear leafs are a serious weak spot on this truck....

What's the rated towing cap. fior the tacomas? I'm not hating on anyone for exceeding it (I've done it a few times with my cruiser) I'm just trying to figure a longish term plan for towing....
