Back in the day, I used to remove all the bolts and amby doors, then lift the frt of the top enuff to get the poles out of the holes and have the tops poles rest on the edge of the tubs lip. Then have 2 or 3 folks lift it off or on. I removed it by myself a couple of times, which is not really fun. Anymore, I no longer run a top. It's sitting vertically against the wall. The only time I would consider taking a top apart would be for restoration. A lot of folks have made a frame out of unistrut and made a hoist system.
