The sun was shining on my black LX470 and I noticed like a billion tiny scratches, I also have a couple big ones and two dents.

So how many scratches do you have?

I have one small dent/scratch above my drivers door handle, and one large scratch and dent above my left outer tailight.

My bumpers are shot, but that what happens when you live somewhere that people cant park...and when i crash into yellow painted poles.

My mother when she had the truck scraped the passanger left door and the little trime peice between teh door and the wheel well...both are only on the cladding though.

Overall, people look at my truck and go, wait, yours is a 2000? wow.

Oh man... now THATS a good one !!

I bet I would win a 100 scratch/dent competition :grinpimp:

I think I lost count after the thousandth scratch ;p

well thats a given...look at every single one of your pictures...your thrashing through the offroad terrain.

When you have an LX470 you tend to think about scratchs a little more. I was chasing my friend one night driving through the woods and stuff...i stopped when he took his old range rover through the trees because i didnt want to get scratchs :)

Flame me, im happy wearing this hat :princess:

People say “don’t you worry about scratches?” as I’m going through brush, I just remind them is only a car.

I was just on the road today and saw a Black 2003 LX470, and it didn't have a single scratch then I came home and looked at mine, my whole side was scratched, it was kinda bothersome!

Those are the people we want to buy from, because they don’t use it as it as we do.

That's great! And you even remained calm enough to snap a pic :D .

i had one of the worse kinds of dents/scratchs, one made by a heep! I quickly took a bat to my friends car after he hit me because his HEEP couldnt turn in the 1/8th of an inch of snow on the ground.

Good time to add that snorkel ;)

Inherited my '00 LX with a little tiny dent below the driver's door-handle, and what looks like..... 'rubbing' damage to the paint on both corners of the front bumper (anyone know what I'm talking about?)

2months ago - helping my mom move - Rr hatch open, truck needs to be repositioned against the garage.......

Deep scratch about 4in long from the angle-iron that supports the garage doors structure, in a loop - 4in into the door, 4in back out, slightly different angles, because I was too lazy to close the hatch before moving the truck. It's just above the chrome bezel above the license-plate area, on the left.

because of the color (Pearlescent white) its hardly noticable, but *I* know it's there.

On the other hand - I've been going off-road more and more often, and I wouldn't be able to complain about getting damage on the sides....

Oh well

Bought my '99 River Rock green from the prev owner in Las Vegas last March - it never saw off-road. After 5-6 hunting and fishing trips here in AZ, I've got pinstriping on both sides :crybaby:

I bought an electric buffer at WalMart about two months ago and applied a good wax (used some of the Meguires scratch remover stuff that comes in the little tube, first). Big difference, took most all of those surface scratches out (or at least hid them?). I've got a couple more trips coming up soon, so I won't bother doing it again 'til March.

Having mud on your LC is one thing, scratches suck! A couple of guys I work with think I'm crazy for taking this kind of vehicle out, but hey, that's what it was (partially) made for, right!

This morning I dropped off my truck for its 45k service. The service tech says, wow, looks like you have some scratches (true, but they will rub out with a little elbow grease--I hope). The service writer says looks like you actually use your truck off road. My response was, "yes, imagine that." Its pretty funny seeing a black, dirty, LX sitting amongst all these perfectly clean and shiny other Lexi in the service driveway in a brand spanking new dealership. I'm certain that they couldn't wait to get it out of eyesight of the other customers so as to not "offend them."

I say too bad. I'm paying a premium for the service (which does include new loaner IS, car wash, and the opportunity to shop for "resort wear" in the "life style section" of the dealer). If they get offended, its their problem!!

I have one googolplex of scratches from narrow trails through the bushes. As for dents:
