Approximately 15,000 miles- Vancouver to Inuvik, Vancouver to Tuktoyaktuk, Vancouver to Haida Gwaii and a couple of short trips all with. 6,500 lb trailer. No ECT, no S and a lot of it on cruise. Suspension set to normal.

On 100% of the time

It seems like a poll format might be useful for this kind of question.

When you use the ECT, are you also using premium 91 (sorry Im in Southern California) gas or just 87?

I normally run 87 in my LC

I run 91 when towing. Not 100% sure it matters but I've had some times when I was running 87 and I've had the ECU retard engine timing sufficiently that maintaining 65 with the trailer on flat land means I have to bury my foot and keep it in 3rd gear even with ECT enabled.

ECT doesn't change the engine timing, gearing, etc at all, AFAIK. It just changes the throttle sensitivity and shift points in the ECU to make it feel more responsive (which presumably hurts gas mileage ever so slightly). If you floor it you'll get the same power with or without ECT on.
